This acquisition follows closely on the heels of The Independents” recent purchase of Bureau Béatrice agency, demonstrating a clear commitment to strategic growth through targeted acquisitions.
Founded in 2015 by Jonathan Boyer and Romain Blanquet-Ferrero, Kitten Production specializes in producing high-quality image, video, and digital content for prominent luxury and fashion brands. With established offices in Paris, Barcelona, and Milan, the agency boasts an impressive clientele including renowned names like Louis Vuitton, Jacquemus, and Saint Laurent.
Isabelle Chouvet, CEO of The Independents, emphasized the strategic value Kitten Production brings to the group: «Kitten Production’s expertise significantly strengthens our creative capabilities. We aim to leverage our global platform to support their expansion into new markets. In recent months, the group has welcomed a series of agencies, including Atelier Athem, Atelier Lum, Bureau Betak & Bureau Future, CTZAR, Inca Productions, Karla Otto, K2, Kennedy, Lefty, Prodject, Sunshine, and The Qode, into its fold.
This aggressive growth strategy is fueled by a substantial $400 million (€360 million) investment secured in June 2023 from FL Entertainment (Banijay) and TowerBrook Capital Partners. This financial backing empowers The Independents to continue pursuing strategic acquisitions and further solidify its position as the leading communications group for luxury brands worldwide.
